December Energy Forecast: Renewal

I’m excited to begin something new with you—a monthly rhythm guided by intuition, the seasons, and the quiet wisdom of nature.

Each month, I’ll share an energy forecast: a blend of intuitive messaging, cyclical wisdom, Ayurveda, breathwork, and practices to support your body and spirit.

Here’s to living more attuned, more grounded, and more connected. Here's to acknowledging the divine intelligence that surrounds + supports us each moment of every day.

And today, we begin with the first one.

✨ December: Renewal ✨

The intuitive word that came through for December was Renewal—not as a push, a reinvention, or a demand to evolve…but as a softening. A returning. A gentle unwinding so the body can restore what it has held all year.

December naturally draws us inward. The days grow shorter and the nights stretch longer, inviting us into a quieter, slower rhythm. This is the season where our bodies begin to mirror the wisdom of the bear—slowing down, conserving energy, and renewing from the inside out.

Even as the holiday season tries to pull us into more—more plans, more movement, more output—our cells, hormones, and nervous system are craving less. Less pressure. Less speed. Less overstimulation.

Because here’s the truth: Deep rest = deep renewal.

This month is not about productivity. It’s about presence.

It’s a time to create small pockets of restoration wherever you can: a slower morning, a warmer meal, an earlier bedtime, a deeper breath. These tiny pauses nourish your body’s innate ability to rebuild.

✨ The Ayurvedic Wisdom of December: Kapha Season ✨

Ayurvedically, December ushers us deeper into Kapha season, the energy of earth + water. Kapha teaches us to ground, stabilize, and nourish ourselves as the world grows colder and darker.

Kapha energy, when balanced, supports:

  • Hydration

  • Cellular repair

  • Emotional steadiness

  • Immunity

  • Nervous system restoration

This season is not asking for extremes. It’s asking for warmth, nourishment, routine, and rhythm.

Think: Slower. Heavier. Softer. This is the soil in which renewal grows.

✨ Foods That Support Renewal ✨

Winter invites us into foods that warm, nourish, and gently rebuild the body:

• Root vegetables — carrots, beets, sweet potatoes

• Slow-cooked stews + soups

• Warming grains — oats, quinoa, brown rice

• Healthy fats — ghee, olive oil, avocado

• Warming spices — cinnamon, ginger, clove, cardamom

• Seasonal fruits — pears, apples, pomegranates

• Herbal teas + warm lemon water

These foods strengthen digestion, support immunity, and help the body conserve energy for renewal.

✨ Herbs for Restoration + Cellular Renewal ✨

Bring in herbs that support deep restoration during this introspective season:

• Ashwagandha — for nervous system resilience + rest

• Triphala — for gentle cleansing and digestive repair

• Tulsi (Holy Basil) — for clarity, calm, and uplifted mood

• Reishi or Chaga — for immunity and adrenal nourishment

• Ginger — for circulation and digestive fire

• Licorice root — for adrenal support and hydration

These herbs help your body do what winter naturally asks for—restore, rebuild, renew.

✨ Breathwork for December: The Renewal Breath ✨

Winter is the season where breath becomes medicine. Our nervous system is naturally more sensitive in the darker months, and gentle breathwork is one of the most effective tools for grounding and renewal.

Try this simple, powerful practice:

Renewal Breath (4–6 Breath Pattern)

Inhale for 4 Exhale for 6

Repeat for 3–5 minutes.

This breath pattern:

  • Activates the parasympathetic nervous system

  • Calms cortisol

  • Supports digestion

  • Grounds excess Vata as we enter Kapha

  • Guides the body into restoration mode

For a deeper layer, add visualization:

On the inhale: imagine warm golden energy collecting in your belly.

On the exhale: feel the tension melt from your jaw, shoulders, and chest.

With each breath, imagine yourself settling into your inner den—rooted, held, deeply supported.

✨ A Closing Intention for December

My hope is that you take what resonates from this month’s energy forecast and gently use it to renew the deepest parts of yourself.

Let December be the month where you soften into your own rhythm. Where you listen inward. Where you choose rest, not resistance.

Here’s to Renewal. Here’s to remembering your inner pace. Here’s to beginning this seasonal journey together.

Deep rest my friend,

Kristina
